Make Money with your Site

Just because you have a website doesn't mean people will visit it. You need to drive online traffic to your site. Here are some tips that will help:

1. AdSense: You can use a Google program, called AdSense, that allows you to have links on your site that direct traffic to common interest websites. Do you get paid for this? YES!

2. How does AdSense work?: There are rules to follow and you can read all about them at the Google website. The bottom line is you need a reason for people to visit your site. It needs to be rich in content, and it needs to be updated often. You need other sites to link to your site because there is awesome information on it. The more sites that link to yours, the better chance you have of gaining new viewers, customers, and have them click on those other links. Those other links are the ones that bring you money while you sleep!

3. What is SEO?: SEO means Search Engine Optimization. Just because you have a website doesn't mean you will be listed in the search engines. Search engine's have rules too. You must follow these rules or the search engines will drop you like a bad habit!

4. How do I get to the top of the search engine ranks?: The bottomline is relevancy and keywords. For example, if you do a search on 'diet tips', those keywords 'diet' and 'tips' are what the search engines are looking for. Now, if you put up your diet website today, do you think you will be at the top of the list? No. You need keywords stratigically placed in the code, you need useful information, you need other sites to link to you and you need to keep your site fresh! You've got to work it and work it well!

5. Will I make $10,000 per month?: I don't think so, not yet anyways. The checks come straight from Google. But, your site must be optimized and the rules must be followed. This is not hard to do.
